Before You Begin

The Working is a self-directed ritual instrument combining connected breathwork, bilateral visual tracking, and binaural sound. It is a tool for personal practice, used entirely at your own discretion. It does not constitute medical or psychotherapeutic treatment and does not replace care from a licensed professional.

What the body may do

Conscious connected breathing reliably alters blood chemistry and nervous system state. The following effects are normal and expected:

These pass when the breath returns to normal. If anything feels like too much, stop, breathe slowly through the nose, and let the body settle. You may stop a session at any moment.

Let the body hold the shape of someone for whom this has already arrived — the breathing and the posture of it. State-dependent encoding works through the body, so stay here until the feeling becomes familiar.

The ground is clear.

What you released has left a cleared space behind it. In reconsolidation terms, a loosened pattern re-stores within hours, and it re-stores in whatever state the nervous system holds during that window. The system is open right now, which makes this the strongest moment to encode something chosen rather than letting the vacancy fill by default.
